In her latest book alongside Professor Monica Mattfeld entitled Performing Animals: History, Agency, and Theater, Dr. Karen Raber explores the various representations of human and animal relationships and interactions during the early modern period. The book is out now through the Penn State University Press and is available for purchase here. The book is also set to be the topic of conversation on a forthcoming podcast by English interviewer George Miller for The Hedgehog and the Fox.
Dr. Raber also has another book forthcoming, entitled Shakespeare and Posthumanist Theory which is available for pre-order on Amazon. Dr. Raber recently spoke to Dr. Neema Parvini, author of Shakespeare’s History Plays: Rethinking Historicism and Shakespeare and Contemporary Theory: New Historicism and Cultural Materialism, about this forthcoming book. The podcast, below, appeared in a series interviewing the authors of the Arden Shakespeare and Theory series, which Dr. Raber’s book is included in.
Congratulations to Dr. Raber!
